My Life

Well, Wednesday was boring, but yesterday was eventful.

THINGS I'M HAPPY ABOUT...

1) Playing wtih daddy all day. We guys have so much fun.
2) Mommy chasing me while I protect my squeaky toys from her monster fingers .
3) Giving me extra peanut butter in the kong
4) Mommy sharing her chinese food with me, not that she had a choice.

5) Running around outside and chasing leaves
6) Playing sock monster (when mommy puts a sock on her hand and I try to pull it off, I always win)
7) Letting me chase the flashlight around the house
8)Tearing up a box into tiny shreds

COMPLAINTS...
1) Getting mad at me for peeing on the carpet. I forgot, I was having so much fun. We all make mistakes. I hid under the bed, I don't like to look at her angry face.
2) Blocking the door so I can't say hello to the the man with the Chinese food.
3) Taking so many pictures that I had bad thoughts about the camera, see my angry face.

4) Miss having daddy and mommy home at the same time, I can't wait for Saturday so I can play with them together.
5) Putting lotion on my paws, I'm a boy I don't need lotion. I get really mad and try to lick it off, but she holds, gives me kisses, and blows on my belly. (that part's cool, but lotion isn't) Don't I have a say in the matter?

I still love my mommy. She does give me lots of kisses and hugs, so I guess I let some of those complaints go for now. We'll see what she........ Wait did I hear the word carrots. Gotta go, gotta get some carrots.......

Fun with Mommy

After a long walk outside mommy chased me around the house. Then we played catch with my toys. Mommy is holding the squeaky dumbbell above my head. She throws the toy all over and I have to run and get it. Then she has to try and get it from me. Hey, if I have to get exercise, so does she!

By the way, mommy writes: "Please don't mind the mess, we are unpacking after painting. Our place is normally very clean."

My mommy is so silly, they're too busy looking at me to notice any mess.

About fifteen minutes later, I was out of breath. Whew, play can be exhausting.

This is me protecting my toy from mommys "monster fingers". She pretends her fingers are walking and try to steal my toy, it's silly, but it makes her happy so I let her have her fun.

Boy, am I tired. Look at the pink around my eyes
and mouth. I think I earned some extra carrots and cheese.

A hard day's work

Well, after playing with my daddy all day (he works at night), then my mommy all afternoon (she works during the day) I got very tired about 7:00. Chasing that flashlight, hunting down socks, and playing hide and seek with mommy is a lot of work. It's difficult being a french bulldog. If you look closely you can see an old pee-pee stain from before I was house trained. I still make some mistakes now and then, but thats okay because I'm so cute.

.
.
Don't I have a cute butt! The pictures a little fuzzy, but it's still sooooo cute. Yes ladies I'm available and taking numbers.

A BUSY DAY

I had a busy day yesterday (Sunday the 25th) . Mommy and daddy went to Lowes, without me, and bought new stuff for the house. Mommy put this new rug down on the floor, but wouldn't let me scratch through to find the wood, instead she played with me- so it wasn't so bad.

Daddy and I took a nap on the couch while mommy made dinner. I love pasta and sauce, my mommy is such a good cook.
After dinner mommy did laundry and I helped. I tried to tell her that her pants and shirts would look better with a few holes and some slobber, but she let me chew on a pair of daddy's old socks instead. I AM OBSESSED WITH SOCKS.

VET VISIT

MAY 24, 2006
.
As soon as we pulled the car up, I knew where we were. I always gets lots of attention from the doctors and nurses. I had to sit in the waiting area and actually had to "wait" to get attention. I did not like that so I started to make my "give me attention noise", which mommy says sounds like like a goat. Mommy and the nurses coudl not stop laughing, which in turn got me all the attention I wanted.
.
.
Mommy writes.........."He is just so funny, I mean making noises to get attention!!!!!! How adorable is that!!!!!!!!!!! He has the best personality. He really believes the world needs to stop what they are doing because he has arrived. Well, as his Dogster Motto says, HELLO, It's all about ME".

KING OF THE BED

Mommy writes...."Seriously, is he not the cutest baby you have ever seen????? Of course we let him sleep in the bed, he owns our hearts. Besides, where else would a spoiled Frenchie sleep???? "

PILLOW FIGHT

.
Sometimes I need to move my pillow around the house to find the perfect spot. There are times mommy and daddy need to help me get it past the food and water dish, othertimes I can do it all by myself. If the pillow gives me a hard time, then it needs to be punished. I need to attack and growl at that naughty pillow until it learns that I am in charge.

TRIP TO PETCO

Today we drove to PETCO to sign up for training classes. Balboa behaved wonderfully during the trip. He struggled just a little when I put the car harnass on him, but soon settled down and ate his denta-stick.

When we arrived we met Lucy (2 year old Boston Terrier) coming out of the store. Lucy and her mother were happy to chat with Balboa and I. I wanted to let Balboa down to play with Lucy, but he's still a puppy and doesn't know when to leave other dogs alone. When I petted Lucy, Balbo started to wriggle because he wasn't the center of attention (such a spoiled little Frenchie)
During the trip home, he was still wonderful.

We got back home and we played for about an hour, then as I watched Grey's Anatomy (video from Sunday night) he sat beside on the couch. Eventually he fell asleep, and I brought him to bed. Yes he sleeps in our bed, even curls up against me or uses my arm as his pillow.

CUDDLING TIME

.
.
After playing with our baby for hours, Baloa decided he just needed to cuddle. .
.
.
The other night Balboa just wanted to cuddle with his daddy. I had to get a picture, because it was the cutest thing I have ever seen.
.
.
After playing with daddy, Balboa decided to sit on the smushy pillow with his burger and watch some TV.

.
.
The following night, balboa decided to kiss mommy's face for five minutes. When daddy went to take a picture, Balboa tried to kiss the camera. He's just so cute!

TRIP TO THE VET

May 11, 2006
.
Yesterday Balboa went to the vet for his lyme shot. As soon as we walked into the waiting room, he began crying......Not because he was scared, but because he needed immediate attention from the nurse.
.
.
When the vet game him his shot, he did not cry, instead he just wanted to lick the vet's face. Afterwards we went for our usual walk, but he was a little pooped from the after effects of the shot. When we got home, we gave him some special doggy tylenol wrapped in lots of cheese - his favorite.

DOG PARK COMPLAINT
.
.
I hate the local dog park. Some pet owners think they own the place. Really now, if your dog is going to snap at other dogs who want to play then do not bring them to the dog park. I can't even bring my Balboa to the dog park, because of one stupid owner and his dog.
.
Anyway, Frenchies prefer humans to dogs, at least nice humans, not stuck-up, jerky humans.
.
.
.
FIRST BATH & FUN OUTSIDE
.
.
On Sunday, we gave Balboa his first bath. He was such a good boy and now his fur is bright white again. I placed him on the heating vent, one of his favorite places to sit, while he warmed up. I should have takne a picture, but we were giving him so much love and attention that we couldn't spare a moment to get the camera.
.
.
Since I can't bring my baby to the dog park for exercise, I have been walking him around our condo complex. It is so funny, when he sees a car he stops and checks out the humans inside the car. His ears pop straight up, he is such a cute sight, that people stop the car to check him out as well.
